For Lovers of Golf
Chichester Golf Club offers an 18 hole Golf course and also has a 9 hole short course, driving range and Golf Academy for those who find themselves in need of a lesson before their round. The Golf Course is open to all visitors on a pay and play basis and no membership is required.
Goodwood
This site provides a wealth of information about activities at the beautiful
Goodwood house and its estate, including world-class horse racing meetings,
golf and motor sport events.
Goodwood Sculpture Park
This open air exhibition at Goodwood Park is hosted by the Cass Sculpture Foundation and seeks to enhance the general publics enjoyment and appreciation of the strength and quality of 21st Century British Sculpture. Set in 26 acres of ground the display offers over 60 large works and is now recognised around the world.
Gunwharf Quays
For the shopaholics amongst you what better way to spend the day than browsing through the 90 designer stores available here, the stores are all outlet stores so there are plenty of savings to be made with up to 70% of high street prices. A great range of restaurants providing "al fresco" dining, makes it the perfect day out.

Weald and Downland Museum
The Weald and Downland open air museum is set in 50 acres of beautiful Sussex countryside. A great place to wander amongst a collection of nearly 50 historic buildings dating from the 13th to 19th Century together with farm animals and woodland walks.
West Dean House
A place of tranquility and beauty in the rolling South Downs all year round.
West Dean Gardens features a restored walled kitchen garden with some
of the finest Victorian Glasshouses. A circular walk through the 49 acre

West Wittering Beach
West Witterings Beach is approximately a 30 minute drive from Aldwick Lodge with ample parking. With a wonderful stretch of open space behind the best natural and uncommercialised sandy beach within easy reach of London. The area is particularly noted for water birds, but in addition to the usual distribution of common land birds, several species of warbler can be heard and spotted around the wooded area.
Also just down the road why not try delicious recipes from the jaw-droppingly modern cafe, East Beach Cafe, that has just beached in Littlehampton.
Brighton Beach and Pier
Affectionately known as 'London by the Sea' because of its convenient location for Londoners, Brighton offers a fantastic shingle beach with a great selection of shops, restaurants, amusement arcades and cafes.
One of the most popular attractions along Brighton beach is Brighton Pier.
Formerly known as the Palace Pier, it's home to restaurants and cafes,
gift shops, a fun fair, traditional arcades and free attractions like the
new ice rink.
